Lacey Jo Riggs, 26, of Greenfield, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at Hancock Regional Hospital following a brief illness. She was born Jan. 25, 1988, in New Castle the daugther of Randy E. and Cherene J. Thalls Riggs.
Lacey has been a resident of Kindred Regency for the past four years. She loved parties and being with her family. She really enjoyed her dog, loved to color and her Barbie Dolls.
Lacey is survived by her parents: Randy (Kathi) Riggs of Morristown; two stepsisters, Karri (Derek) Brown of Greenfield and Tarra (Sean) Youngclaus of Greenfield; one niece, Devin Brown; five nephews, Griffin, Austin and Waylin Brown, Mason and Blake Youngclaus; stepgrandmother, Pat Anderson of Morristown; several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cherene Riggs; her brother, Dace Riggs; maternal grandparents, Jack and Edna Mae Thalls; paternal grandparents, Jesse and Reba Riggs.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Allen Collier officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown.
