Jason Dean Bradbury, 41, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at Methodist Hospital. He was born on Sept. 14, 1972, in Greenfield, as the son of James D. and Janet D. (Bullman) Bradbury.

He graduated from New Palestine High School in 1991 and attended Vincennes University.

He worked for Hancock County as a Sheriff’s Deputy for 20 years. For the past 10 years he was a Sergeant with the Metro Drug Task Force. Mr. Bradbury was a member of the Hancock Lodge 101 and a past President for the Hancock County FOP #140. He was also a part of the Indiana Drug Enforcement Agency and a graduate of the FBI Academy. He was an avid hunter and a trapper. Jason was awarded the Mayor’s Outstanding Law Enforcement Cooperative Award from the City of Greenwood and he was a recipient of the Red Cross Award.

Jason is survived by his son, T.J. Bradbury of New Palestine; parents, James D. and Janet D. (Bullman) Bradbury; brother, Jarrod D. Bradbury of New Palestine; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; grandparents, Art and Darlene Bullman of Greenfield; and grandmother, Jean Bradbury of Greenfield.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold C. Bradbury; and uncle, Steve Bradbury.

Visitation will be held from 3 until 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, at Park Chapel Christian Church, 1176 E. McKenzie Road, Greenfield, IN 46140. Pastor Steven Bradley will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
