David Wesley Gingry, 72, died Aug. 28, 2014, at Kindred Healthcare in Greenfield. He was born Oct. 10, 1941, in Richmond Ind.
He was in the Army and served his country 15 ½ years, including a Tour of duty in Vietnam.
He is survived by sons, Jonathan D. Gingry, Phillip D. Whipple, Randy Whipple, and James T. Whipple. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nellie M. (Whipple) Gingry and son, Brian L. Whipple.
The visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, with funeral service to follow at the Shirley Friends Church, located at 101 Main Street, Shirley, Ind. Pastor Jim Jackson will be officiating the service, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Carthage, Ind.
