Carrie "Frances" Macy, 84, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014. She was born April 11, 1930, in Hancock County, the daughter of Frank and Stella (Short) Polley. She married Neal "Gene" Macy on Dec. 25, 1949, and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1973.
Survivors include her daughters, Katrina J. Macy and Dee (Mark) Toon both of Morristown; sisters, Marie Buckman of Greenfield and Dorothy Moore of Rushville; two grandchildren; two great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Gregory Allen Macy; sisters, Lucille Weaver, Lela Raikes, Juanita Nigh and Laura Morgan; brothers, Tom Polley, Charles Polley and Perry Polley.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Ted Hagel officiating. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
