Harold M. Moore, 46, of Shirley, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, Aug. 13, 2014, in his home surrounded by family. He was born Nov. 22, 1967, to the late Howard and Brenda (Butcher) Moore in New Castle, Indiana.
Harold married Peggy (Collis) Moore on July 28, 1989. He worked for the Indiana State Highway Department for many years. He enjoyed hunting and antique collecting. Harold was a loving husband, father and grandpa.
Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Peggy; two sons, Kyle L. and Harold Moore, Jr.; two brothers, his twin brother Howard E. (Carla) Moore and Jerry L. Moore; four nieces, Brianna, Victoria, Aubrey and Rachael; a nephew, Justin; two great-nephews, Rylan and Landen; a grandson, Joseph; his lifelong best friend, Brian Collins and good friend, Eric Chance.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Brenda Moore; Grandma and Grandpa Butcher; Uncle Jim and Aunt Judy Butcher.
Friends may visit Sunday evening from 4-8 p.m. Services for Harold will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, Ind., with David Oaks to preside.
In honor of Harold, he asked personally for all to attend in casual attire only.
