Wilma I. (Brock) Bloomfield, 95, of New Palestine, passed away Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at Hancock Regional Hospice. She was born on Sept. 23, 1918, in Hancock County as the daughter of Elta A. and Opal (Eastes) Brock. She graduated from Mt. Comfort High School in 1936. She married Reverend C. Bloomfield on Oct. 21, 1966, in New Palestine.
She worked for Western Electric for 26 years before retiring in 1982. Mrs. Bloomfield attended New Palestine United Church.
Wilma is survived by her children, Sharon (Dale) Harden of New Palestine, Tyler (Judy) Moore of Morristown, Denise Bailey of Celina, Tenn., and Jeffrie (Lisa) Moore of New Palestine; three nieces; one nephew; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elta A. and Opal (Eastes) Brock; husband, Reverend C. Bloomfield; daughter, Lucille Spencer; brother, Dale Brock; niece, Janie Brock and two grandsons, Michael and Christopher Moore.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, also at the mortuary. Pastor Carl Coffey will be officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Greenfield.
