Verl Simeon Libby, 95, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday morning, Aug. 10, 2014, at his home near Greenfield. He was born Jan. 2, 1919, in Pratt, Kan., the son of the late Charles and Myrna (Smith) Libby.
Verl attended Butler School of Religion and graduated from Johnson Bible College in 1945. He pastored in churches in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio and was a member of the Shirley Christian Church where he pastored for over 25 years retiring in 1996.
Survivors include his wife Barbara; children, Beverly Libby (Ron) White, L. Steven(Kathleen) Libby, Mark (Jessica) Libby; foster son, Marion Miller; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren all of Greenfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Libby; sisters, Evelyn Krempecki and Mildred Connors.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, from 4-8. p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Gray Sickle officiating. Burial will follow at Greenfield Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
