Barbara Sue (McCune) Pepper

Barbara Sue (McCune) Bell, Wieneke, Pepper, 77, of Avon, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at Morristown Manor. She was born on July 15, 1937, as the daughter of Thomas and Phonnie Euella (Martz) McCune. She graduated from Lapel High School in 1955.  She married Jewel L. Pepper.

She worked for Marion County Home for 15 years and also for Aramark Food Services at the Ford plant for 15 years. Barbara was a big Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed collecting his memorabilia. She also loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, DeWayne Bell, Danny Bell, Gerry Bell and Billy Bell; stepson, Ed Faulk; daughters, Carolyn Bell-Mathews and Brenda Bell-Hause; brothers, James Humble, John Humble and Matthew Humble; sisters, Beverly Wells, Rita Brosius and Mary Jo Humble; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Phonnie Humble; father, Thomas McCune; stepfather, Robert Humble; husband, Hubert Bell; husband, Jewel Pepper; husband, Gene Wieneke, granddaughter, Stacy Hughes; and sister, Patricia Hatcher.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.  A memorial service will be held immediately following the gathering.

The family would like to sincerely give a special thank you to Hope Bell. Thank you for caring and loving mom as your own. Words cannot express our gratitude.  You are by far more than a daughter-in-law. Thank you.
