Ruth “Ruthie” (True) Milner, 88, of Fortville, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Community Hospital North. She was born on May 10, 1926, in McCordsville as the daughter of John and Leita (Ridgeway) True. She married Kenneth L. Milner on December 26, 1952.
She worked for Ross Funeral Home in Fortville for many years. Mrs. Milner was a member of Fortville Nazarene Church. She loved doing word searches and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Ruthie is survived by her son, Mike Milner of Fortville; brothers, Paul True of Fortville and Willie (Darlene) True of Noblesville, Ind.; sister, Betty Goen of Fortville; three granddaughters, Angie Milner of Fortville, Michelle Thomas of New Mexico and Denise Kemerly of Fortville; and two great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Justin Thomas of New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Leita (Ridgeway) True; husband, Kenneth L. Milner; daughter, Virginia Kemerly; brothers, Charles True and Kenneth True; and sisters, Thelma Lackey and Mary Marshall.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2014, from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 124 E. Staat Street, Fortville, IN 46040. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Fortville Nazarene Church, 701 S Maple St, Fortville, IN 46040. Pastor Phil Edwards will be officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
