Christopher M. Tames, 50, of Wilkinson went to be with the Lord Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born July 30, 1964, in Beech Grove, a son of Michael Tames and Karen (Powell) Jones.
Chris is survived by his wife of 21 years, Denise K. (Thomas) Tames of Wilkinson; one son: Chris H. Maker, Jr. (fiancé, Jessica Maxon) of Anderson; grandchildren, Sierra Maker of Indianapolis, Shawn Maxon and Chris H. Maker, III of Anderson; his mother, Karen (Kenny) Jones of Greenwood; sisters, Donna (Richard) Moran of Greenwood, Debbie (Carl) Youngstafel of Greenwood and Stephanie (Mike) Cook of Fishers; and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Tames.
Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown and from 12 – 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at Antioch the Apostolic Church, 11140 East 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229, with Reverend Kent R. Gray officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
