He was a Army veteran. He enjoyed bass fishing with his buddies at Geist Reservoir. When he and his buddies weren't fishing they were playing cards. He loved being a grandpa to five beautiful blessings; Matt Miles, Cody McFarland, Alyssa McFarland, Breanna Miles, and Kaylie McFarland. Great grandpa to four beautiful blessings; Wesley and Adrianna O'Brian, Maggie Miles, and Duncan McFarland. He will be dearly missed by all.

Jackie's wish was not to have a service and to be cremated. We respected his wishes, but would like to have a memorial cookout in his honor. The cookout will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at American Legion Park (Campground) 10609 South SR 13, Fortville, IN.
