Wilma (Sparks) Hancock, 95, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, at her residence. She was born on March 12, 1919, in Stanford, Ind., as the daughter of Kenneth and Edna (Fielder) Sparks. She graduated from Mount Comfort School in 1937. She married Charles Hancock on July 31, 1938, in Marion County.

She was a member of Mount Comfort United Methodist Church, Hancock County Extension Homemaker’s for 72 years and McCordsville Order of Eastern Star.

Wilma is survived by her sons, Sid (Sarah) Hancock, Steve (Ellie) Hancock and Stanley Hancock all of Greenfield; nine grandchildren, Kimberly, Bradley, Kathy, Scott, Nicole, Kelly, Heidi, Molly and Josh; 25 great- grandchildren; and four great -great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Edna (Fielder) Sparks; husband, Charles Hancock; daughter-in-law, Georgia Hancock; grandson, Craig Hancock; granddaughter, Michelle Hancock; and five brothers, Paul Sparks, Wayne Sparks, Forest Sparks, Bob Sparks and Max Sparks.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, also at the mortuary. Pastor Jim Hage will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Greenfield.
