Franklin “Frank” Joe McDowell, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014. He was born on June 18, 1943, to the late William Silas and Betty (White) McDowell.
He is survived by his brother, Bill (Lois) McDowell of Greenfield; nieces, Debra McDowell of Frankford, Ind., Pam (Arnie) Brown of Knightstown and Maria (Gabe) Maxwell of Columbus, Ohio; nephews, Tony (Diane) Sammarco of Garner, N.C. and Bryan (Shelley) McDowell of Greenfield; seven great- nieces and nephews and a great -stepniece and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rosalie Sammarco.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:30 a.m. to Noon on July 26, 2014, with a short service following at Sugar Valley Methodist Church. Reverend Gerry Sadai will be officiating. Final resting place is Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, Ohio.
