Cheryn Lynn (Spoon) Williams, 68, of Charlottesville, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014. Cheryn was born on Nov. 17, 1945, in Wheeling, W.V., to the late Ira Closin and Betty Spoon.

In 1963, she graduated from Warren Central High School, where she had met the handsome, blue-eyed, love of her life. Cheryn and George L. Williams were married on Aug. 7, 1965, at her parents' home. They enjoyed almost 49 years together.

Cheryn worked as a secretary for RCA and later used her office skills as a co-owner with George of Williams Construction. For the last 18 years, she served as a personal assistant to her dear friend, Bob Muccillo, owner of R. J. Muccillo & Associates.

One of Cheryn's greatest joys was being a mother to her three children, Tracey (Ron) Smith of Zionsville, Cathy (Tim) Stump of Greenfield and Andy (Michelle) Williams of Fortville. She was blessed to be "Mamaw" to 10 beautiful grandchildren: Jamelynn Callahan, Alaina & Cooper Smith; Geordan, Ethan, Kelsey & Cameron Stump; Skylar, Karsynn & Presleigh Williams. She was "Mom" or "Mamaw" to so many "adopted kids" and she cherished them all.

Cheryn adored her husband, family, friends and her dogs. She treasured time spent with her sisters, Linda (Harold) McElroy and Deanna (Larry) LaFleur. She bowled at Greenfield Lanes for many years, loved watching the Colts, singing in the car while traveling and being with her Jim Dandy family. Her favorite past-time was cheering on her precious grandchildren at their sporting events. Cheryn will forever be remembered for her easy smile, welcoming spirit, the way she loved whole-heartedly and for giving big, warm hugs.

A celebration of Cheryn's life will be from 3 -6 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Park Chapel Christian Church, 1176 E. McKenzie Road, Greenfield. Visitation will be from 3- 6 p.m. followed by a service at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider the needs of her husband. Donations can be made to the family or via www.youcaring.com/celebratingcheryn.
