Norma May Edwards, 84, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Morrison Woods Health Center in Muncie, Indiana. She was born on May 21, 1930, to the late Earl and Jane (Moore) Nigh.

She lived most of her life in Rush County. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1948, and married the late Paul Edwards on March 17, 1949.  Norma retired after working many years as a bookkeeper for Container Corporation of America. She was a member of Fletcher United Methodist Church in Carthage and more recently attended The Bridge Church in Muncie. She enjoyed craftwork, especially crocheting baby blankets, traveling and serving God by loving and helping others.

Survivors include two sons, Jim (Cathy) of Ocala, Florida and Dan ( Marita) of Yorktown, Indiana;  three grandsons, Ryan (Carrie) of Cumming, Georgia, Brady (Lauren) of Fishers, Indiana, and Brandon (Abigail) of Fishers, Indiana and one granddaughter, Courtney of Ocala, Florida; one great-grandson and five great-granddaughters.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles Nigh and Bob Nigh.

Family and Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening and at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery with David Oaks and Roger Campbell presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Fletcher United Methodist Church or to Gideon’s International, www.gideons.org, which distributes Bibles worldwide.
