Rhea Marie Linville, 73, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014, at her residence. She was born May 5, 1941, in Hancock County, the daughter of Albert and Martha (Alexander) Martin. In 1962, she married Dwain E. Linville, and he preceded her in death on April 14, 1996.

Rhea graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1959. She was a very active member of Little Blue River Baptist Church and Little Blue River Baptist Ladies Aid, where she held several offices. She was also a member of Country Pals Extension Homemakers Club. Rhea formerly worked part-time at JoAnn Fabrics and Brammer and Yeend. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda (Jeffery) Shelton of Shelbyville and Jane (Greg) Lengerich of Franklin; sister, Carol (Bob) Reger of Greensburg; brother, Carl (Judy) Martin of Knightstown; grandchildren, Tyler Shelton, Kyle Shelton, Maggie Lengerich and Ryan Lengerich; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Little Blue River Baptist Church, 3515 N. 500 E., Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Rev. Robert Langdon officiating. Interment will be at Bennett Cemetery in Shelby County.
