Esther M. Parsley, 87 passed away May 18, 2014. She was a resident of Clermont. She was born Dec. 10, 1926, in Parke County, Ind., to the late Zora Allen and Mary (Paddock) Norman.
Esther was a member of the Lion’s Club in Clermont. She enjoyed painting, yard work, growing and painting gourds to take to shows and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, William H. “Bill” Harrison, Larry W. (Gemma) Parsley, Diana S. (Dick) Foster, Nancy E. (Phil) Baxter, Karen J. Petro, Marianna J. Hunt, and Jimmy A. (Dawn) Parsley; 26 grandchildren; 50 great- grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Harold Norman and Eddie Norman; and sisters, Patsy Farrar and Martha Perkins.
She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, William Harrison and James Parsley; two sons, Dale and Danny Parsley; and seven brothers and sisters.
Friends may call from 4- 8 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the funeral home. A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Vandivier-Tudor Chapel, 951 N. Main St., Franklin. Esther will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
