Roderick D. Shaw, 87, of Fishers passed away May 20, 2014. He was born on April 23, 1927, to the late George and Vivian Shaw.

Roderick was the former head football and track coach at Anderson Highland and John Marshall High School. He proudly served in the Navy during WWII and Korea. Roderick was a graduate of Elwood High School, Earlham College and Ball State University. He was a teacher and coach for forty years.

He is survived by his sons, Roderick D. (Moira) Shaw II and Robin Shaw; his daughter, Victoria (Gary) Rhodes; grandchildren, Marc (Katrina) Rhodes, Melissa Rhodes, Blake and Dean Shaw; and two great- granddaughters, Rebecca and Rheyanna Rhodes whom all he cherished.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Betty Clark and his brothers, Wilfred and George Shaw.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 21, 2014, with a funeral service to follow. There will be a private burial at Washington Park East Cemetery. Military Honors are to be presented by Greenfield Honor Guard.

Services have been entrusted to Hendryx Mortuary Cumberland Chapel.
