Emilee Evans, 67, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014,  at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born Aug. 2, 1946, in Letcher County, Ky., a daughter of Charlie and Edna (Niece) Collins.

Emilee loved being a house keeper, flower gardening, and going shopping. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Kenny Evans (Becky Stephens); daughters, Barbara (John) Gilbert, Rhonda (James) Kracht, Leslie (Ben) Stevens; grandchildren, Mara Griffith, Brian Evans, Kurtis Gilbert, Sara Evans, Shelby Ray, Madison Stevens and Olivia Stevens; great -grandchildren, Kiersten Griffith and Kailie Gilbert; siblings, Jean (Don) Brunty, Mildred (Ray) Fields, Stephen (Charlene) Collins, Ivadale (Roy) Fields, John L. (Phyllis) Collins, Henrietta (Bill) Evans, Bill (Bonnita) Collins, Ted (Dora) Collins; a special niece, friend and angel, Vicki Hall; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Evans; sister, Lavonne Collins and a nephew, Tim Sexton.

The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Ali and staff of the Indiana Cancer Center and Hancock Regional Hospice.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Roger Campbell, John and Ted Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Carthage Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service.
