Odus Watson Jr., 57 of Greenfield passed away Friday May 9, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Jan. 1, 1957, in Sterns, Ky., the son of the late Odus and Betty Burchfield Watson.
He worked at Bordens Dairy for 30 years and did carpentry work. He attended the Apostolic Church in Greenfield. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing and the outdoors.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Burchfield Watson; wife, Terri Poe Watson of Greenfield; children, Bruce Allen (Denise) Watson of Ky., Susan Brown of Greenfield; grandchildren, Maggie Lynn Brown, Garett Brown, Odus Bryce Brown of Greenfield, Braxton and Ellyannah Watson of Crab Orchard, Ky. ;five brothers and seven sisters.
Preceded in death by his father, Odus Burchfield; brother, Jimmy and grandson, Conner.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Marcum Community Funeral Home in New Castle. Services will be held at 1p.m. on Wednesday May 14, 2014, at the Apostolic Church in Greenfield. Pastor Joey Riggs will be officiating. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
