Harold “Andy” C. Anderson, 85, Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Golden Living Brandywine. He was born on March 16, 1929, in Ireland, Ind. as the son of Clarence Floyd and Mozell (Meadors) Anderson.
Andy married Joan (Smith) in 1953, and has spent the last 60 years with his loving wife. Andy graduated from Washington High School in 1947. Andy was a Veteran, serving in the Army. He was a long time employee of Chrysler, retiring in 1987. He was a member of West Park Christian Church. Andy enjoyed all sports as well as coaching little league. Also, Andy was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Smith) Anderson of Greenfield; sons, Greg Anderson of Indianapolis, Kevin (Terri) Anderson of Indianapolis, and Rob (Julie) of Greenfield; sister, Wanda Warren of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Ryan, Erica, Khaliah, Mallory, Brayden; great-grandchildren, Quinten and Cole.
Preceding Andy in death were his parents and brother, Robert Anderson.
There will be a memorial gathering at 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E 91st St #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
