Sharon Kay Callahan, 74, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, at home with her loved ones. Sharon was born April 6, 1940, to the late James Luther and Irma (Gumm) Houston.
She married Harvey Callahan in Greenfield on Oct. 28, 1972. Sharon worked at IPS schools for 27 years as a custodian before retiring in 2003. She loved to cook, tend her flower beds, and taking care of her family.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Harvey; her daughters, Kimberlin Cook of Indianapolis, Theresa Boles of Greenfield, and Michelle (Michael) Hoovler of Greenfield; her son, James (Tracie) Boles of Greenfield; her sister, Carolyn Sue (Dennis) MacDonald of Texas; her brother, Robert Lee Houston of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James Luther Houston III.
Visitation for Sharon will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery.
