Rex D. Drudge, 72, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, at his residence. He was born on Sept. 2, 1941, in Kosciusko County, Ind., as the son of Merl D. and Lillian (Groshon) Drudge.

He graduated from Charlottesville High School in 1962. He served in the National Guard for six years. He married Barbara J. (Williams) on February 19, 1966 in Maxwell.

He worked for Delco Remy in Anderson for 28 years before retiring. Rex also worked for Greenfield Park and Recreation and also volunteered at Hancock Regional Hospital. He loved painting, sketching, woodworking and landscaping.

Rex is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Drudge of Greenfield; son, Timothy K. Drudge of Carmel; daughter, Tammy M. (Stephen) Christian of Greenfield; brothers, Joe Drudge and Bob Drudge and two grandchildren, Annaleise and Xavier.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merl & Lillian Drudge and brother, Charles Drudge.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014, also at the mortuary. Pastor Steve Bradley will be officiating.
