Alma K. (King) Rinehart-Myers, 71, of Greenfield, passed away May, 1, 2014, at Hancock Regional Hospital.  She was born on May 12, 1942, in Paoli, Ind.  She graduated from Manual High School in 1959. She married Samuel Rinehart who preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1981.  She later married Ron Myers on Aug. 28, 1986.

Alma worked as a Software Programmer for Western Electric, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies, in Indianapolis for over 30 years before retiring in 2001. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and The Red Hat Society of Greenfield.  She enjoyed reading, working puzzles and bowling.

Alma is survived by her husband, Ron Myers of Greenfield; sons, Scott (Brenda) Rinehart of Carthage, Todd Rinehart of Los Angeles, Calif.; step-daughters, Ronda (Jeff) McGuire of Lapel, Ind., Brenda (Brian) Stricker of Bellevue, Neb.; seven grandchildren, Cody, Dalton and Maxwell Rinehart, Brent and Shelby Stricker, and Anthony and Nicholas McGuire.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Thalma King; first husband, Samuel Rinehart; brothers, Jimmy and Marvin King; and step-son, Phillip Myers.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m.on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, also at the mortuary.  Pastor Fred Girdwood will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
