Homer L. Steward, 84, of Fortville, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014. He was born on Feb. 14, 1930, in Bainbridge, Ind., as the son of Clyde Steward and Emma (Cope) Mikels.
Homer is survived by his sons, Raymond (Jody) Steward and Floyd (Anne) Steward; daughter, Madonna (Kenny) Price; 10 stepchildren; sister, Freeda Martin; many grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, George Steward.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 124 E. Staat Street, Fortville, IN 46040. A funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at the mortuary. Pastor Willie Davenport will be officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville, Ind.
