DeLores M. (Wilson) Smith, 82, of Fortville, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born May 10, 1931, in Indianapolis to the late Bert and Elizabeth (Pomeroy) Wilson.
DeLores is survived by daughters, Marcia (Floyd) Hughes of Florence, Ariz. and Debbie Anderson of Fortville; son, Randy (Bonnie) Smith of Plainfield; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild and great-great-grandchild due in March; and sisters, Virginia Basham and Barbara Stoffer, both of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil, A. “Smitty” Smith, whom she married on Dec. 2, 1947, in Indianapolis; bonus son, John Anderson; and brother, James Wilson.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A celebration of DeLores’ life will begin there at 1 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis.
