Fredrick “Don” Myers, 87, of Markleville, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014. Born Nov. 20, 1926, in Thorntown, Ind., the son of the late Fred and Elsie (McMinds) Myers. Fred was a veteran of the Navy proudly serving his country during WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Blake) Myers of Markleville; two daughters, Jill (John) Davidson of Markleville, Joy (Jerry) Hollars of Markleville; foster daughter, Theresa (Tony) Looper; a granddaughter; a grandson; sisters, Maxine Dray, Joan Graham , Phyllis Burnett; brother, J. Keith Myers , two great -grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; five great- stepgrandchildren; a great -great- stepgrandchildren; a sister-in-law and loving friends and Church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters; Ruth Keesling, Louise Barkdull and a grandson, John “Ryan” Foster Davidson.
Calling will be from 4 – 8 p.m Monday evening, Feb. 10, 2014 at the Ovid Community Church in Ovid. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Ovid Community Church with Pastor Keith Wooden and Bob Landes officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
