Sharon L. (Dismore) Lively, 79, Kokomo, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at her home. She was born Aug. 7, 1934, in Greenfield, to Austin and Helen (Andrews) Dismore. On Sept. 17, 1960, she married Roy Lively, and he preceded her in death exactly eight years to the day of her passing, on Feb. 6, 2006.

She graduated from Morristown High School and Indiana Central Business College. Sharon enjoyed working outside the home, but in 1961, decided to become a stay at home mother and look after other children the way she cared for her own. That decision resulted in lifelong relationships with “her kids”, children who were not born to her but whom she loved as her own. Many of those kids refer to her to this day as the ‘Matriarch of Indian Heights’.

She is survived by four sons, Rick (Susan) Tanner, Tim (Lizzie Mullett) Tanner, Jeff Tanner, and Rob Lively; five daughters, Tammy (Alan) Warner, Kelly Lively, Stacy Lively, Samantha (Ron) Foudray, and Anna (Jeff) Hoppe; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; cherished sisters, Linda Gressette, Indianapolis, and Meredith (Larry) Brokering, Shelbyville; a sister-in-law whom she loved like her own sister, Wilma Lively, Greenfield;  brother-in-law, Kenny (Joyce) Lively, Metairie, Louisiana; a very special  aunt, Dorothy Redden, Indianapolis; and many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her only brother, Don Dismore.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at the funeral home.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastors Bill Allison and Jeff Russell officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.

In keeping with her love of children, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Buddy Bags Program, in care of Kokomo Urban Outreach, 1706 South Home Avenue, Kokomo, IN 46902.
