William L. "Bill" Callahan, 67, of Morristown, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born Oct. 1, 1946, in Shelbyville, the son of Harry L. and Ella (Tretler) Callahan. He married Marsha Mae Smith on May 16, 1998, and she survives.

Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1971.

He is also survived by his son, James (Cory) Parker, of Rushville; daughter, Jodie Mae (Richard) Rogers, of Rushville; sister, Karen K. (John) Kristoffs, of Caledonia, Minn.; four grandchildren and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.  Masonic rites will be conducted at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at the funeral home, with Elder Mike Chastain officiating. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown, with military graveside rites conducted by the local military committee.
