Polly (Vaughn) Harwood, 48, of Shirley, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at her residence. She was born Dec. 21, 1965, in Beech Grove, daughter of the late Douglas Vaughn and Karen (Hayden) Vaughn of Rockport, Texas.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 30 years, Tim Harwood, of Shirley; children, Jennifer (James) Quinn of Wilkinson, Steve (Brittney) Sanders of Knightstown, Nicole (Tyler) Smith of Shirley and Brittany (fiancé Ryan Tharpe) Harwood of Wilkinson; seven grandchildren; brother, Jim Vaughn; sister, Karina Vaughn Laford; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; a son, Jesse Sanders; paternal grandmother, Maxine Vaughn Stephens; and maternal grandparents, Bernard and Bonnie Hayden.
Services will be 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel, with Pastor Ryan McCarty officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at McCray Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
