Iris Griffith, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away Jan. 12, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers in Indianapolis. She was born Dec. 16,1945, in England, to the late James Carr and Isobela Chapman.
Iris married Stephen Griffith on June 22, 1974, who survives her. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and watching the old western movies and gardening was also one of her favorite pastimes.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Griffith of Shelbyville; daughters, Heidi Sallee of Martinsville, Ind. and Candi Ownes of Greenfield; son, Ben Griffith of Greenfield; six grandchildren; a great- grandchild; brother, Jack Carr of England.
She is proceeded in death by 14 brothers and sisters and her parents.
Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Murphy- Parks Funeral Service & Crematory. Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m, with Robert Prather officiating.
