Theodore Eugene Miller, 76, of Lawrence, Ind., passed away on Jan. 5, 2014, after a long battle with cancer at Community North. Mr. Miller was born in Clay County near Brazil, Ind., on Nov. 3, 1937.

Ted (“the Barber”) owned and operated North Lawrence Barber Shop for 48 years. He was a Master Barber in Lawrence for over 50 years and had owned four Barber Shops in the past.

He served in the US Army. Ted was a life endowed member of Mystic Circle Lodge #685 F. & A.M. with nearly 50 years of service. He was a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and a Noble of the Murat Shrine Temple.

Ted was a member of GWRRA and loved motorcycling. Ted’s life centered on being warm and loving to his family, customers, friends and animals and meeting all their needs.

Surviving is his loving wife, Wanda K. Miller; daughter, Kay Lynn Eller; three step-children; six grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; aunt, Norma Frazier; many nieces; nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pat Miller and father, GP Miller; son, Eugene Miller; and ex-wife, Martha Beatty.

A Masonic Memorial Service and visitation for the family and friends will be held from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at the Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center 5215 N. Shadeland Ave., followed by a Masonic Service at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his Memory to Shriner’s Hospital for Children in c/o Murat Shrine Temple 510 N. New Jersey St. Indianapolis, IN 46204 or to Mystic Circle Lodge F. & A. M. #685.
