Curtis Leroy Smith, 91, of Phoenix, died Jan. 1, 2014. He was born in Carlisle, Ark., on June 10, 1922, to the late Benjamin Frederick and late Mabel Cauffman Smith. He served in the Marines in the South Pacific area during World War II and was discharged as a disabled veteran.
Curtis is survived by a son, Toff Leroy of Florence Ariz.; sister, Florence Smith (Walter) Molinder of Greenfield and one grandson.
He is proceeded in death by his wife, Judy Wallen Smith; son, Mark and brothers, Richard B. Forest W., Dale C. and Edgar G. Smith.
No memorial service will be held but Curtis and Judy's ashes are to scattered (at a later) in Dolores River in Dolores, Colo., near their retirement home.
