Charles E. Jones, 83, formerly of Greenfield died Dec. 27, 2013. He was born Aug. 15, 1930, the son of Edith Downey and Alva Jones.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
After returning from Korea he married Norma Bless with whom he had 6 children, 5 of which survive, Marsha (John) Canary, Linda (Tim) O'mara, David (Kathy) Jones, Sandy (Mark) Sims, and Suzi Vitz. He is also survived by brothers, Richard (Virginia) Jones and Norman (Edna) Jones; sister Francis Jones; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Jane Jones and Dorothy Spaulding; brother Robert Jones; son Stephen Jones; and wife Judith Jones.
A family memorial service is set for 2 p.m. Saturday Jan. 4, 2013, at Cumberland Christian Church.
