Larry M. Benefiel Sr., 63 of Greenfield, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born April 7, 1950, in Indianapolis.
Larry loved to fish and camp and celebrating the holidays was his favorite time with family. He retired from the Greenfield Street Department on Jan. 1, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy (Davis) Benefiel of Greenfield; sons, Michael (Linda) Benefiel Jr. of Indianapolis, Scotty (Tammy) Benefiel of Greenfield and Tim (Monica) Frost of Shirley; daughters, Tammy (Daniel) Reyes of Tucson, Ariz., and Bobbie Jo (John) Salinas of Brownsville, Texas; sister, Judy (Bill) Rager of Indianapolis; 20 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Iola Bowman; and brother, Richard Benefiel.
Friends may call Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 from 2-6 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Services will be held 11 a.m., Monday Dec. 30, 2013, at the funeral home with calling hours from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
