Ronald Wayne Rayl, 74, of Wilkinson, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013. He was born Oct. 4, 1939, in Rushville, the son of Dorothy Alice (Willson) Rigdon. On May 9, 1981, he married Sandra Kay Wise, and she survives. He was a veteran of the Marine Corp.
He is also survivored by his sons, David F. (Kelly) Creekmore of Helotes, Texas and Marcus S. (Deanna Grizzell) of Knightstown; sister, Reatha Shaw of Ingalls; brother, Albert "Butch" (Sue) Rayl of Freeport; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; stepfather, Ralph Rigdon; son, Samuel Creekmore; and sister, Dede Hauk.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon, Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at Noon, Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at the funeral home, with Steve Ray and Bill Farmer officiating. Interment will be at Bennett Cemetery in Shelby County.
