Larry K. Johnson, 73, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospice. He was born Aug. 23, 1940, in Jabez, KY., to the late Rufus and Elsie (Smith) Johnson.

Larry was a 1958 graduate of Hancock Central High School and attended college for skilled trades. He retired in 1998, as a skilled tradesman for General Motors Company where he worked for over 35 years.

Larry will be remembered as a great father that loved all his children equally. He was a good hearted man and was often considered a “cut up” to family and friends. He was an avid golfer and played the guitar in his spare time.

He is survived by sons, Terry (Katrina) Johnson of Indianapolis, Jeff (Sherry) Johnson and Kenny Johnson, all of Greenfield; daughter, Deanna (Gary Baker) Johnson of Indianapolis; brother, Freddie (Maria) Johnson of Fla.; sister, Carolyn (Bill) Coop of Greenwood; 16 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carol (Skelton) Johnson.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 18, 2013, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Burial will follow service at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
