Verda Kathryn Barnaby, 88 of Plainfield Ind., went to be with the Lord on Dec. 1, 2013.
Verda is survived by her five daughters, Diana (Max) Durham, Arleen (Albea) Gordon, Marsha Andry, Patty (David) Sturm, Linda Barnaby (Joey Wilkins), sister-in-law, Daisy Strock; brother-in-law, Joe Smerdel. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great- grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by husband, Frederick Louis Barnaby; Sister, Evelyn Louise Etzler; Brother, George Leon Willard; one grandson; one great-grandson; and son-in-law, Robert Allen Andry.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday Dec. 6, 3 to 8 p.m. at Conkle Funeral Home 76 N State Rd 267, Avon Ind. The funeral service will be Saturday, Dec. 7, 10 a.m. with the funeral procession to Lincoln Memorial directly following the service.
