Mandy Jo (Russell) Rode, 33, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at home. She was born on Feb. 21, 1980, as the daughter of Dale and Barbara (Snead) Russell. She graduated from Lutheran High School of Indianapolis in 1998. Mandy married Brad Allan Rode on July 7, 2001, in Indianapolis.
She worked as an Administrative Assistant for State Insurance Agency in Indianapolis. Mandy was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Indianapolis. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time on the beach, shopping and spending time with her husband and children.
She is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Brad Rode; son, Derek Rode; daughter, Paige Rode; sister, Dayna (Jason) Kistler; grandmother, Margaret Cosby; and parents, Dale and Barbara Russell.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., with an hour of visitation prior to the service, at St. John Lutheran Church, 6630 Southeastern Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203. Pastor Phil Krupski will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Indianapolis.
