Alexis "Lex" Grant Nichols, Jr.
Alexis "Lex" Grant Nichols, Jr., 82, passed away Nov. 8, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born in 1931 to Alexis Grant Nichols Sr. and Helen Mae Nichols.
He served his country with the US Army, in the Korean War. He was a retired school teacher, who had taught in several schools, such as Rockville, Ind., Martinsville, Ind., Brazil, Ind., and Taft, Calif. He attended Indiana State University, Southeastern State College, and California State University.
He is survived by his sons, Alexis "Chip" (Sharon) Nichols, III, Scott Monroe (Treva) Nichols, Christopher Neil (Angie) Nichols; his sister, Shirley Ann Nichols; and eight grandchildren.
He preceded in death by two grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
