James E. Heiny
James E. Heiny, 84, of Fortville, passed away November 7, 2013. He was born Dec. 22, 1928, in Indianapolis to the late Lando and Mildred (VanArsdal) Heiny.
James was a 1946 graduate of the old Mt. Comfort High School. He worked as a plumber until his retirement in 1996, and was a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 440, as well as the F & AM No. 207, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and Eastern Star Chapter No. 149. Mr. Heiny served in the Navy during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Donna Lee (Noe) Heiny; daughters, Teresa Heiny of Columbus and Jana Coleman of Fortville; granddaughter, Brittany Cravens of Indianapolis; sister Dorothy (Charles) Heron of Greenfield; and brothers Bud Heiny of Greenfield and Ronald Heiny of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Alice Williams; and brother, Bill Heiny.
Friends may call from 2 – 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
