Mildred L. “Millie” White

Mildred L. “Millie” White, 72, of Knightstown, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born March 9, 1941, in Georgetown, Ohio to the late Victor and Agnes (Tamme) Loudon.

Millie retired from Chrysler Corporation following 10 years of service and had also worked in various other factories over the years. She was an Avon lady in Knightstown for many years, a member of the Red Hat Society, and former president of the Henry County Democratic Women Organization.  Millie has been a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Knightstown since 1966. She enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter months and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Genea (Timothy) White Jones of Fountaintown, Jeff White of Kempton, and Shawna (Chris) Hunt of Greenfield; grandchildren, Courtney White of Kennard, Owen, Colby and Lili Hunt, all of Greenfield; siblings, Anna Mary Miller, Marjorie Koewler and William Loudon all of Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Richard Loudon.

Friends may call from 2 – 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at St. Rose Catholic Church with Father Jeremy Gries officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Hancock Regional Hospice Foundation, 801 N. State St., Greenfield, IN 46140, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
