Harry C. Kafader, 86, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Springhurst Healthcare Facility. He was born Oct. 15, 1926, in Indianapolis, to the late Harry C. and Helen Nau Kafader.
Harry served his country in the Army during WW II and was married to Rosemary D. Coleman, who preceded him in death in 2008. Harry was a brakeman for Conrail for 39 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Prospect Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite for 60 years.
Harry is survived by his loving daughter, Sharon Johnson; grandsons, Trevor and Nathan; and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., with visitation one hour prior to service.
