Martha Jane (Laudig) Davis, 92, passed away Sept. 24, 2013, at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville. She was born March 1, 1921, in Pendleton and was a life long resident.

Martha was an executive secretary for several years; a real estate agent and real estate broker. She was a 1938 graduate of Pendleton High School and attended Manchester College. Martha was a member of Pendleton First United Methodist Church; life member of both Order of the Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary. She was an avid gardener and bridge player having attained the life masters designation. She was a selfless caregiver who always lived her life for and in the service of others.

Survivors include her son, Dr. Bert (Pam) Davis of Pendleton; two grandchildren, Allison Davis of Indianapolis and Leon Davis of Pendleton; brother, Dr. Larry (Sondra) Laudig of Pendleton; sister, Ann Covey of N. M.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Leon Davis; parents, George and Velma (Riggs) Laudig; sister, Mary Ruth Cady; and brother, Jim Laudig.

Martha’s family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Kelly Chambers and staff for their compassionate and excellent care.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Dr. Ray “Bud” Probasco officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Lahm Chapel.
