Carolyn Ann (White) Gabbard
Carolyn Ann (White) Gabbard, of Shelbyville, formerly of Connersville and Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 21, 1938, in Connersville, the daughter of the late Verne W. and Francis P. (Selm) White.
She attended Connersville High School. She worked at the Greenfield Middle School cafeteria, Worland Cleaners of Greenfield, D & M Assembly of Connersville and retired from Stant Manufacturing.
Survivors include three daughters, Denise Holmes of Greenfield, Lezlie (John Benton) Wheeler of Manilla, Ind. and Mindy (Brad) Thurston of Waldron, Ind.; four grandchildren, Casey Holmes, Nicole Holmes Suhre of Greenfield, Hyatt and Riley Thurston of Waldron; two great-grandchildren, Owen Holmes and Bellah Suhre of Greenfield; two sisters, Jeanne Walker of Ohio and Patty Baker of Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Dorothy "Dot" Brown of Connersville.
Family and friends are welcome to attend Graveside Services to be conducted at Dale Cemetery at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013, with Brandon Sutton, Pastor of Blue Ridge Christian Church, Blue Ridge, Ind., officiating.
