William H. Rumfelt, 81, of Pendleton, died Aug. 22, 2013, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Dec. 19, 1931, in Union County, Ill., to the late Christopher and Helen Rumfelt.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (McVay) Rumfelt of Pendleton, whom he married on July 13, 1966; sons, Marlin (Cheryl) Rumfelt of Greenfield and Randy Rumfelt of San Jose, Calif.; daughters, Cindy (Randy) Hammons of Greenfield and Dee (Mike) Sprague of New Palestine; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, John Vera of Sydney, Neb. and Herman (Connie) Rumfelt of Anchorage, Alaska; and sister, Colleen Veh of Washington.
Mr. Rumfelt was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Rumfelt; and sisters, Kathryn Leake and Jean Yelton.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. on Monday Aug. 26, 2013, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville, with a funeral service beginning there at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
