Donald "Don" W. Grebe

Donald “Don” W. Grebe, 71, of Greenfield, passed away Aug. 22, 2013,  in Greenfield. He was born on Nov. 24, 1941, in Indianapolis, as the son of Donald E. Grebe and E. Geraldine “Jerry” (Grebe) Alford. He graduated from Tech High School in 1959. He served in the Army from 1963 until 1966.

He was the owner of  D & D Pest Control of St. Petersburg, Fla., for 22 years. He retired in 2000. Don was the past President of Sun Coast Bird Breeders, past member of Society of American Magicians and International Brotherhood of Magicians. He was also a member of Hancock County 4-H Llama and Alpaca Club, Indiana Gourd Society and American Gourd Society.

Surviving him are his sister, Jane D. Wakeland (Robert) of Greenfield; brothers, David Grebe, Robert Grebe, and Richard Grebe all of Albuquerque, NM; nieces and nephews, Jeralynn (Patrick) Cronin, Angelynn Lee, Brent (Jenny) Wakeland, and Laura Wakeland; four great -nieces and nephews, Daisy, Austin, Abigail and Declan.

Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Ann Shepherd.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. There will be full military rites at the cemetery.
