Russell A. Hayse
Russell A. Hayse, 62, McCordsville, passed away August 11, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born February 28, 1951, in Anderson.
Russell was employed by General Motors for 36 years, most recently at the Allison Transmission Plant. He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School, was a member of the Fortville Christian Church and loved building hot rods, with which he won many awards and was featured in “Classic Truck” magazine.
He is survived by wife Shelley (Apple) Hayse, whom he married November 15, 1968; sons, Reggie (Sandy) Hayse of Fortville, Jason (Andrea) Hayse of Greenfield, and Bradley (Kristen) Hayse of Greenwood; mother and stepfather, Thelma and Byron Newhouse; brother, Jimmie Hayse; half-sister, Kelly Hayse, all of Fortville; stepmother, Rosemary Hayse of Pendleton; grandchildren, Morgan, Maddie and Max Hayse, Bailee and Brook Hayse, Autumn and Stephen Shilling, Joey, Franky, Vinny, and Pauly Hayse.
Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery.
