Viola M. (Jenkins) Coleman

Viola M. (Jenkins) Coleman, 82, of Fortville, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013. She was born on May 24, 1931, to the late Daniel R. and Arlie M. (Reed) Jenkins in Clay County, Ind.

Viola was a lifelong homemaker and a member of the VFW Post 6904 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by sons Danny (Karen) Coleman, Rick (Cheryl) Coleman, and John Coleman, all of Fortville; daughters Jackie (Richard) Watts of McCordsville and Brenda (Doug Martin) Liscomb of Fortville; grandchildren,  Brent (Becky) Watts, Taunya (Jason) Brandom, Danny Jr. (April) Coleman, James (Tracy) Coleman, Steve (Mary) Liscomb, Windi Herbert, Tina (Shawn) Davenport, Cherrick (Jason) Coleman, and Harley (Chelsea) Coleman; great-grandchildren, Cassidy Brandom, Savannah, Logan, Isaac & Cierra Watts, Kayla, Dylan, Lilly and Colton Coleman, Jacob and Graysen Coleman, Austin and Caleb Herbert, Isabella, Mason and Emily Liscomb, Cherridan and Channdan Faust, and Ryder, Harley and Truly Coleman; and sisters Willa“Dean” Cliver of Linton and Marsha (Carey) Snellenberger of Jasonville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester L. “Jack” Coleman, whom she married on June 26, 1948, in Jasonville, Ind.; brothers, Junior Dale Jenkins  and Danny Wayne Jenkins; and sisters, Esther “Cricket” Keller and Greta Sue Jenkins.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday August 5, 2013, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville, with funeral services immediately following at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.

Memorial donations may be made to Hancock Regional Hospice or Peyton Manning’s Children’s Hospital.
