Sandra (Sandy) Johnson Rath
Sandra (Sandy) Johnson Rath, 66, of New Palestine, went to be with her Savior on July 3, 2013. She was born February 26, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio to Leonard and Betty (Fouts) Johnson.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, and mawmaw. She was a Merchandising Assistant for J.C. Penney. She volunteered at Hancock Regional Hospital, was active in Eastern Star, sang with the Greenfield Community Choir and Jubilee Quartet, and was an active part of her church.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Ted; daughters, Tiffany of Lafayette, and Shelley of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; four grandsons, James, Tyler, Justin, and Charlie who will miss her very much; and sister, Nancy Ostovic, of Chardon, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, with a memorial service immediately following at 12 p.m. at New Palestine United Church, 15 E. Main Street, New Palestine, IN 46163. A committal service at New Palestine Cemetery will occur at a later date.
The family requests instead of flowers, memorial contributions are made to New Palestine United Church.
